La Shonda was born in Shreveport, LA., and she is the wife to Raymond Lyons III. Together they Pastor Greater Faith In Christ Ministries, in Cocoa, FL. Currently G.F.I.C. Ministries is under the Apostolic covering of Global Apostolic Alliance (Apostles Billy and Cynthia Thompson). La Shonda is also the founder of The Pillar of Hope Worldwide Outreach, Inc., and under this umbrella, she also established The Pillar of Hope Academy, Spirited Soul Productions, SSP School of Acting and Faith Connections Broadcast.
La Shonda is the author of multiple toured Gospel Plays, a three times honors graduate, holding a Bachelors Degree in Human Services, a Masters Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy, a PhD in Divinity as well as Counseling Psychology. Beyond the pulpit, she is known as “The Acting Preacher, as she loves to act. Her favorite scripture can be found in Philippians 4:12-13.
